     Well put! I've been doing this computer-communication
dealy for a few years now, and those smiley sybols (or other
symbols) have always come in handy. If you're trying to
communicate some ideas or opinions non-verbally in this format,
it helps to compensate with some symbols. And yeah, there's
also something to be said for normal, everyday, common
politeness! All this "Politically Correct" stuff is nonsense.
