Just caught BOC last night (Nov 30) at Sunrise, FL. Great show, definitely
worth going to... They playeed: SttS, DrM, O'Dd, ETI, Redcap, I'd like to
see you in black (finally got to hear it, sounded great), Take me Away,
Flaming Telepaths, CoF, LDoM, In Thee, LitH, BFY, Godzilla, DFtR, D&S, and
tR&tB....

Notes & Observations:

Mic was messed up during the first two numbers, couldn't hear anything Eric
said...

Allen didn't seem to be that happy to be there, but maybe that's the way he
always looks. During DFtR, he did something that caused Eric to turn around
apparently in anger, either gesturing or shouting something, and he seemed
to be upset after that moreso, but I couldn't tell. It sounded okay to me...

In Thee sounded out of tune. On alt.music.blueoystercult someone mentioned
that they'd been missing their acoustic equipment, but they had some here...
Wasn't so much the equipment, that the vocal chorus (Eric, Buck, and bass
(Danny Miranda)) didn't come across that well... I like the song, but it
seemed out of place. As soon as it was over (the place had quieted down a
bit), Eric said "and now for something completely different" which of course
was met by cheers...

They started almost an hour late... The only f/x used was a strobe on Eric
during Flaming Telepaths, but it was effective... Buck was drinking from
what looked like a small wineglass all night, only stuff I saw anyone
drinking... Someone managed to toss a long thin balloon on stage after
several attempts, which Eric grabbed and managed to mess up the drummer with
it (John O'Rielly, I think)...

Apart from that, a great show. ETI, Telepaths, Cities, Last Days, and the
encores (D&S, R&B) sounded particularly good, as did I'd like to see you in
black. I heard someone comment about it being lyrically weak, but I
couldn't pick up enough to tell....

Anyways, great show. I think they're headed to Melbourne next, where
someone on here mentioned they'd be...
