You're not the first person to note that - however, I believe that
it's not a Hawkwind cover per se, but rather a Friday Rock Show cover.
The heavily-armed lunatic you mentioned is apparently a sort of
trademark image of the Friday Rock Show - I've seen 2 other FRS albums,
and they both featured the same guy.
