Imaginos should be a movie, with the album tracks moving between
background and foreground music. Al recorded various bits of incidental
music also. Not sure who would have the vision to
direct such a venture...Stephen King was the obvious first thought, but
his material seems to be almost exclusively set in small town America. Or
Werner Herzog, with Klaus Kiinsky resurrected from the dead to play Baron
von Frankenstein. Actually, as the only person who seems to think that
Kenneth Branaugh made a reasonable fist of Frankenstein, maybe he could
do it. Or Francis Ford Coppola....

Starring (in no particular order)

Oliver Reed or Tom Baker as Grandad (in Magna of Illusion)
Alan Rickman or Basil Rathbone as Baron von Frankenstein
Jeremy Irons as Dr John Dee (occult advisor to Elizabeth)
Bradd Pitt or Erich Strom as the young Imaginos
Buck Dharma (plus 'tash) as Del Rio!
Errol Flynn and Douglas Fairbanks as swashbucklers (there must be
                some!)
Gary Oldman as a very nasty person, or as another incarnation of
Imaginos if he can do the accent OK
        others...?
