Torgo writes, and I reply below . . .

>John, GREAT job!

Well - THANKS! But, check the credits - I had LOTS of help. You really
gotta thank everyone on BOC-L, and maybe give a call to "his Bolliness"
(great line, Deb)

>When I first traded in my SOE vinyl for the CD version, I noticed almost
immediately that "We Gotta" on CD was different than the vinyl.

Yes, 'tis true. Bolle relayed the story to me, although I'm surprised
that I hadn't discovered it myself when I got the SEE CD (guess it had
been awhile since I had listened to it on tape). Just this weekend, I
got ahold of a BOC interview (Jim Ladd interviewing Buck and Eric), and
they talked a little more about this (this would've been before the CD
came out). I appears the boxes for the two shows with the versions of
"We Gotta Get Out of this Place" were mislabelled from the beginning as
the band was trying to figure out which version to use. The one that
sounded the best was the one in the box labelled "Edinburg" (Bolle said
it was London, which is what's in the FAQ), and the guys thought, "Too
bad it wasn't the "Newcastle" gig, since that was Eric Burdon's home
town. Eric Burdon was the lead singer of the Animals, the guys that
originally did that song. Anyways, it turned out that the boxes were
mislabelled, and it actually was the Newcastle gig that sounded the best.
However, apparently the error would show up again years later when it
came time to put the songs to CD, and they once again grabbed the wrong
box.
