Yeah I know what you mean. I first bought the video and was appalled at the
sound quality. Once I found the CD was available I felt surely the real BOC
sound would emerge from the CD, it had to be better than the video. Wrongo,
it was just as bad or worse. I paid $16 US for mine and had to wait two
weeks while it was ordered. The only portion of this thing that is worth
collecting is the sleeve. Really pissed me off since the video was made at
my local venue the Captial Center.

I recently bought some old Triumph CDs and on them were a disclaimer saying
they were produced from the analog recording therefore there would be some
"hissing" in the backgound. Sort of an unessesarry evil I suppose. If you
can stand the hissing the sound is pretty good (My system isn't that great
anyway so I'm used to it.). Still I wish they would go back to vinyl. Most
of my BOC is on vinyl and people are amazed to see these things in such
primo shape. Can't say much for the album coverrs but the records
themseleves pretty much look brand new.

Ah yes the record company ripoff, just one of the many ways they get us.
This is why when I search for my old classics I try to see if it is a
remastered version (both tape and cd). Would imagine that WOTT will be
completely remastered before pressing them to discs. If not I wonder how
thirty year old music is going to sound. Would be much better than the 1976
ripoff and we are all planning to buy it anyway, so maybe the point is a bit
moot.
