       Hello,

I know the UK group Man toured with Hawkwind in the US in 1974
and perhaps 1975?. I just got a tape that I was told was a fan club
release called 1999 tour party. They announce the show, :Good evening
Chicago. You hear a few people yell HW during a quiet part of C'mon,
so I am inclined to think it is 1974? Any Man fans out there know the
       answer?

Also, what do you all know about the band LOOP? I had heard that they
were HW influenced, but I just played part of one of their discs this
morning and I don't hear it. They are pretty interesting though.

       Scott

P.S. I saw the Workshop of Telescopes last night in Tower records in
Harvard SQ. I was a bit disappointed in seeing that there were really
only 3 (somewhat) unreleased tunes. We deserve better.. Some of these
box sets that have come out, even three disc ones by Janis Joplin (10
rare unreleased tracks), Jefferson Airplane (15-20 rare unreleased
tracks), Jethro Tull (multiple rare tracks), King Crimson, etc... but
then there are the lamer ones: Ted Nugent (only 3 unreleased tracks),
HW Griffin 4 CD box set, only really one unreleased track, Yes (4
CD's) only a few tracks unreleased..... Some you win some you
       lose.....
