So I ventured to Tower records at Midnite on the 25th. I was laughed at by
the store clerk who said...
Don't you know the release Midnite section is not for bands like BOC but in
Fact David Bowie. So I bought david bowie (db) & Went home...
Cool album 75 minutes of new BowEno stuff and even Mike Garson was on it...(
I loved this guy until he became a scientologist...Now I think... Fuck all of
those hemorrhoidless assholes (a/k/a/ perfect assholes) Infact he was also on
David Letterman... Now, did somebody say BOC should B on Letterman 2? I think
so... but when stores refuse to open the box of new releases because what I
am asking for isn't hip enough??? N-E-Way I purchased the disc some 12 hours
later and went home and looked at it and thought OK. so here we have the
definitive release on the subject of their Greatest Hits... as we all know
this ain't no Best Of... but definitely their greatest Hits...
More of this in Pt-2

A 2 CD set of their Greatest Hits is always something any band deserves after
this many years in the industry. So then my Q is: when you put this together
and make it an OK package, Why not make it an excellent package instead and
spend some more money on people who have better creative taste in lay-outs
and also hopefully the guts to cry out for rather a full colour print
booklet. A lot of my old posters and tickets etc. seem to be null and void as
the backgrounds here, and I find that the beauty of the old Picsleeve singles
are lost when turned into Black & White. That's why we issued Book-marks in
colour for MF#2 of all those old super cool Jap singles...
As for song selection. Everything here is fine, no comments, except I can't
figure out why Imaginos was left off the discs, when it was mentioned in
text? Only sad point here is still the serious need for 20 Bit Map mastering
on BOC material. But, I hope this set sells the quota, to validify the remake
of all albums into 20-BM Mastering. And also of course a real Boxed set would
make an interesting packjage for the serious fans of this band. But with this
package out, that box would have to have just about all previously unreleased
material along with "the Rest Of... which constitutes of more left off
B-sides, Quad version things and perhaps in General re-mixed versions of the
cooler things we all know of... A Boxed set can of cours also include the 2
pre BOC albums i.e. the finished trax from the planned Soft White Underbelly
album along with "St:Cecilia" and perhaps the original Oaxaca tapes as well
as the still elusive original David Lucas demos of the Original BOC album
from which only The last Days Of May surfaced on that 1st album. Numerous
choices from over the years would solidify a most incredible Boxed set.
However, this is all hypothetical as we all know. something's gotta give
before we can have it our way...

Oops... No Swedish...
Oh well, In my summation of the Closing Argument from This Prosecutor. I
think they came out with a package that I will support as Their Greatest
Hits, but in No Way by any means... as the Best Of Blue Oyster Cult... That
package needs a bit more taste than commercial aspects will normally allow
for.
I recommend this package for any novel aficionado. and to the Q as what album
should I buy? this will be my recommendation from now on.

Anything else??
