OFF: insurance for CDs and/or tapes ?

Your best bet is to insure it under a homeowners' policy. Take photos,
catalogue collection, etc, keep receipts. But insurance co's aren't going to
treat your art as if it's a priceless Picasso... some things may be
personally irreplaceable, but so are out-of-print books...as well as your
favorite baby toy or departed uncle's kindergarten art project..just figure
out what the real monetary worth is... and see what's reasonable in terms of
homeowners' insurance...paying premiums for $500,000 worth of cassettes may
just not be worth it...also make sure you have the right kind of insurance...
for floods, if you're in a flood area, etc...
