Hi Folks:

I was sitting around thinking that we should get together and come up with a
standardized nomenclature for all of the current and likely future incarnations
of Hawkwind - Friends & Relations, so to speak. So, I've made a short list -
feel free to add any other suggestions. Then we can have a vote once all the
nominations have been made.

OK, here goes.....

Hawkwind The current lineup of Brock/Tree/Davey/Chadwick
Brockwind Dave Brock's side projects, such as The Agents of Chaos
Nikwind Nik Turner's band with House, Dettmar, Powell, Moorcock, etc.
Darkwind The Nik Turner/DarXtar collaborations
Pinkwind Nik joined by ex-Pink Fairies members
Mulowind Harvey Bainbridge's projects in the HW vein
Elfwind Alan Davey's projects in the HW vein
Metalwind Huw Lloyd-Langton's projects in the HW vein
Headwind Lemmy forms a side project to revive SR-blanga style
Foxwind Samantha Fox fronts this band that charts the surprise dance
hit, 'Turn to page 3, please'
NikDikMikwind Nik Turner tracks down the 'audio generator' in Kathmandu for
the sole purpose of outnumbering Brock's band in
                             terms of legitimate HW members
Creamwind Ginger Baker decides to go back on the road with his own band
Slagwind Ex-Hippie Slag Bridgett Wishart decides that HW has lost touch
                             with its feminine side
Hailwind This heavily synth-dominated band features Keith Hayle and
                             Paul Hayles
Blakewind Tim Blake's answer to the synth-based HW style...aka
                             'Breakwind' in the Orient
Spiralwind Simon House deciding he can do it without Nik's help
Pressurewind Nik's supporting musicians get the same idea, and sack Nik from
                             his own band
Funkwind Alan Powell and Paul Rudolph decide to make Dave Brock's worst
                             fears become reality
Boobwind Stacia 'fronts' this band, and nobody notices who else is in it
Welshwind Dave Anderson produces this band of people noone has ever heard
of, and records them in his studio in the middle
                             of Powys, Wales
Ozwind Dave Brock, fearing the effects of a counterclockwise Coriolis
force, is replaced by Ed Wynne, as the band makes
                             its first trip Down Under
Treewind Long lost brothers Ron and Porcupine get together for an
                             interesting experience
Mickwind Mick Slattery invites some of his Irish friends to form a
return to the true 'original' Hawkwind style
Wraithwind Robert Clavert returns to Earth to continue some of his
on-stage banter, that he didn't feel he was given
a proper chance to complete the first time 'round
Bocwind Members of this list get together to form a band in tribute to
Dave Brock, and perform at Dave's 100th birthday
                             party in Bideford
Bastardwind No, not Ron Tree, but Doug Smith forms this band - no music,
but they still take your money at the door

Well, that's a good start....hope I didn't offend anyone - if so, I apologize
profusely.

Oh, by the way, this is a joke......hope you realized that... :)
