I'm surprised this issue has come to some sort of vote.  While the "rec.*"
groups may be more rigid, I thought it was pretty easy to create an
"alt.*" newsgroup.  Besides, anyone who's seen some of the subject lines
in "alt.rock-n-roll" these days knows that some assholes are going to
talk about whatever the hell they want on a music newsgroup.  If these
neo-Nazis are trying to somehow seduce young people to their way of thinking,
they don't need to create a seperate newsgroup - they'll just post their
trash amongst the legit discussions on popular newsgroups.

BTW, how many people who read "alt.rock-n-roll" call these sex lines that
regularly advertise there?
