Well....Ron Tree used to play bass in the punk band 'Bastard'. P'haps Mr Tree could fill in for Al. Mind you, this would probably mean that Ron would then retreat behind a bank of synths, never to be seen again :-)
On a more serious note, I would add my voice to the "keep Al in HW" campaign. The guy was the only visible life form on stage before Ron joined.
