  Great Question!
I remember reading an album review many moons ago, for Mirrors, where they
said that Allen was the "true genius of the band" , mainly because of the
"hits", "lonely teardrops" and "In thee".
I like his work, and until I saw a live vid, I didn't realise he played
some of the cool guitar work. I always thought it was EB who played
those bits. Now I realise that the guitar of Eric is almost purely
ornamental. :)

The only other equally as whacky album review about BOC that I read was
for CE, in the mag "Record Review",(?) back in the Stone age. It said that
the album was fine up until the vocals of (and I quote) "Eric
"Buffoon" Bloom", and that "the band should get rid of him, and explore
their Yes-meets-Black Sabbath sound". What a jerk!
No wonder they ain't popular any more. (The mag I mean).

   Troy
