Hawkwind and Roy Harper ?

I have just bought Roy Harper's Work of Heart CD on Awareness Records
(AWCD 1002) and have had a bit of a shock on reading the booklet notes.

It says that Paul Cobbold played 'Additional Bass', and in the list pf
special thanks to those who helped it lists (along with Kate Bush, Dave
Gilmour, Paul McCartney, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant) Thomas Crimble.

Does anyone know anymore than this?
