Ha, I'm getting reminded of more HLL tracks that I really like all the time!
This is doing my case no good at all! Oops, just remembered "Sea King" too,
another one I really like!! In fact, I think I like most of his HW stuff!
Again though, I think he brought a more straight-forward "rock" approach to
the band. I much prefer the more "spacey" side they've been into of late. My
least favourite HW gig was Acid Daze in '87, which I think summed up the
"too much rawk" sorta thing, whereas my favourite was Brixton Academy 3rd
Sept 89 (at least I think it was 89) Naz Nomad & The Nightmares (The Damned
doing loads of psychedelic covers) were supporting, Lemmy came on at the
end, and Simon House had returned. I seem to remember they did lots of Space
Ritual stuff. I may be wrong in my recollections (but if so, I don't want to
know, I still remember this gig fondly!), but for me this started the
current HW era, and of course led up to Electric Teepee, one of my fave
albums (not just HW) of all time. Poor Huw...he did lots of excellent stuff,
left, and they got even better!! (IMO of course!!!)
