I know this is going to be an oft asked question but what does
"progressive" actually mean? I would use it in context meaning
progressing further into new musical areas. So to me progressive music
is, at the moment Goldie, Leftfield, Photek, Orbital, Prodigy in fact a
lot of the hated techno bands (who I love for EXACTLY the same reasons
I've always liked Hawkwind.) The drum'n'bass scene at the moment is
astonishly exciting, intelligent and creative. Check out LTJ Bukem's
Logical Progression double LP for beautiful synth textures,
unpredictable drum patterns, cool samples etc. It's drum'n'bass, some
would call it jungle, others would still call it techno but....

Or is Progressive, this 70's IQ, Genesis, Marillion thing still?
