I used to be a socialist until arguments on environmental issues
convinced me that the pricing mechanism held out a better chance of
dealing effectively with the issue than any amount of State regulation.
My general anti-authoritarian streak led me to libertarianism from
there.

Since then three people have said that they've been persuaded by
my arguments on the net to investigate libertarian ideas and three have
more or less said that they're now pretty much libertarian.
