>According to the latest issue of Inquest, the Magic: The Gathering
>collectible card game contains one card related to BOC. Steve Conard,
>developer of the Legends expansion set for the game, explains that the card
>Takklemaggot resulted from his mis-hearing a line from "Veteran of the
>Psychic Wars." Takklemaggot was reprinted in the Chronicles set late last
>year and is now readily available. I would imagine the line he misheard was
>"Tides of madness," although he doesn't specify.

That line was always said quickly. I have a couple Takklemaggots, I just wish
they'd done some cards based on actual lines. Here are some examples:

(note: b = blue, k = black)

Tyranny and Mutation (Enchantment) (2)(r)(k) - All Red and Black creatures
gain +1/+1

Tattoo Vampire (Summon Vampire) (3)(k) - 3/3 flying creature

Godzilla (Summon Monster) (rrrrr)(gggggg)(b) 13/13 trample islandwalk
creature. May block flying creatures. Upkeep: (gggggg) or Godzilla does
13 damage to you and taps, this damage may not be prevented.

Sole Survivor (Summon Survivor) (www) 1/1 prot from black. If you have no
creatures in play, you may place sole survivor directly into play from your
graveyard.

Shooting Shark (Summon Shark) (1bbb) 4/3. Tap to inflict one point of
damage to any target that has taken damage this turn. (bb): may block
flying creatures until end of turn.

Workshop of the Telescopes (Summon artifact) (4). (1): Force target player
to reveal one card, chosen randomly, from their hand. Sacrifice workshop
to bury that card as an interrupt. Target player takes damage equal to the
card's casting cost.

Vengence (The Pact) (Enchantment) (2)(w): Place a +0/+2 token on target
creature. If creature leaves play, all your creatures gain +2/+0 while any
opponent's creatures which damaged target creature that turn are in play.

O.D'd on life itself (Creature enchantment) (k)(k): (0): Sacrifice 1 life
to gain +1/+1 until end of turn. (hmmmm this could be abused with spirit
links...)

The Reaper (Summon Death) (3)(kkk) 7/4. May not be blocked by black or
artifact creatures. (get it? heh. I like that.....)
