There was a band called Nitro who were supposed to have been the "case
closed" argument on speed metal.  They purported to be the fastest
band in existence, and touted a vocalist with something inhuman like 6
octaves of vocal range.  Personally, I didn't really see the point,
when bands like Mekong Delta were already playing faster than my ears
could listen.  ;-)
