Do you mean Christophe Lambert?  The myopic non-English speaker who
starred in such marvelous cinematic epics as 'Tarzan' and 'Highlander'?  I
seem to recall seeing him in some French masterpiece with white hair.  He
was actually pretty good in 'Subway', though.
