But as a quick note, the new lineup bodes *very* well. The quick
summary is that Alan was a great bass player and will be missed. However,
Ron is pretty damn good, and the disappearance of Alan's synth banks is
_not_ missed. The sound was really guitar dominated, with the synths
forming a backdrop--like it should be really :)

     Jerry is a Good Thing.

There's a new intro to Love in Space that they played and it was
*effing* heavy! My jaw dropped. Hawkwind, re-evolved into metal!?

There was also a new song ("Reptile Vision"?) and it rocked. The band
seemed a bit hesitant during the first few numbers, but after massive
cheering for the new track they gained a lot of strength. Ron turned the
bass up. It was good.

Brock still hides behind his gear (the lame-o!) but played a lot of
guitar and looked to be having a good time.

Possibly the best HW show I've seen so far.

Cheers,
Carl
