Just some thoughts if someone manage to read them:

Dave:
>Space Bandits starts off really well, but then palls. Images rocks -- and
>the violin solo is terrific!

Yes, but the violin is too low in the mix. That is something that really
irritates me. House is a bloody excellent musician and when he's part of
the crew then _I want to hear him_ .

>I don't like The White Zone as much, but I play it now and again when I
>want some unintrusive background music. Then again, I don't consider it
>to be a Hawkwind album as such.

I think it's hard to use WZ as background music 'cos I don't feel it's very
unintrusive at all... on the contrary the music is demanding my attention
all the time
in very annoying way...
But I like WZ quite a lot anyway... though I don't rate it as one of the top
ten HW
albums of all time... but it's definitely the best _PW_ album ever. :-)

Needle Gun and Chronicles thread:
I've said this before... I don't like Chronicles at all... and I certainly
don't like
the song Needle Gun either... though this is the only track on the CD that I
listen too (!!! I don't know why... please tell me!!! ;-) ... except for the
bonus tracks (Dojo release: TWIS rocks!)

Brainstorm:

Was it Andrew who said that he don't like Brainstorm in any form?!?
För sjutton gubbar! I think it's extremely pleasant to load the CD-player
with SR and play only Brainstorm in repeat mode... again and again and again
and again
and again... I sort of like doing that with the ISoS version of YSDT also.
Blanga blanga blanga blanga. If I have some friends (none of them
understands Hawkwind at all) at my place for a couple of beers or something
they often look like they were starting to cry in any moment when I do this.
I'll guess I enjoy that do. :-) ... maybe there's a little marquis de Sade
hiding inside my body...

ps Yesterday I took a three hours promenade and took a look at the Viking graves
in the neighbourhood. It's a couple of hundreds of them here. There were
sheeps and
cute lambs (used as living lawnmowers) around the graves and I had BOC
"Tyranny and Mutation" plus Kyuss "Sky Valley" in my walkman -the
combination of ancient history, sweet but silly creatures and heavy rock was
just PERFECT. I felt extraordinary alive
and happy with everything. ds
