which for me more or less encapsulates present-day Hawkwind.   The
studio albums have all the ideas and musical complexities and mixing
experiments and technological wizardry and different sound layers and,
in a sense, the more you listen to the tracks the more you hear but they
tend to ramble and drift.    Live on stage is (or should be) the more
dymanic Hawkwind with excitement, wall-to-wall depth of sound and energy
and a much tighter mix than you usually get on the albums.   And when
this works it just sounds awesome!

But then I like both versions - so what the heck!
