Concerning Golden Void, I was quite surprised at how good the version on
The Business Trip was but no official version gets anywhere near the
performance they did at Hammy Odeon 14/12/88. They did A&B and GV as the
encore and GV was simply awesome. It was Hawkwind in top gear firing on
all cylinders - huge sound, fantastic atmosphere, note perfect, just
absolutely stunning. Given the number of live albums HW release, I wish
they could have got this gig out because there wasn`t a dud moment. It
was one of the best HW gigs I saw and when I classify them as "best" it
means that it was a sublime experience!
