I really liked Levitation when it came out, partly because it finally gave me vinyl versions of much of the material played on the PXR5 tour, but also I think because it gave a rebuttal to all those snipers who slagged off Hawkwind for "not being able to play their instruments" - "look, we've got Ginger bloody Baker, he can play a bit, can't he?  And check out the digital production!  Not bad for a bunch of stoned-out hippies, eh?"

But no, I don't like it as much as "Silver Machine" era HW!  Mind, I haven't played it for ages - have to give that blue vinyl a spin I guess :)
