OFF: Savatge

I don't know what I was thinking of, but a few years ago I bought a copy of
Savatage's _Edge of Thorns_.  I think I must have been quite taken with them
in a retro-kitsch kind of way, because I'd seen the video for the title track,
and really thought it must be from about 1973 until I found out it was brand
new.

I don't think I played it much at the time - the title track was by far the
best thing on it, and that got stale after about three goes.  Anyway, because
of this thread, I tried listening to it last night, and got about 30 seconds
in before I began to gag on the sheer pomposity of it all.  Come back _Club
Ninja_, all is forgiven, I say.

Do these guys really take themselves seriously?  Or is it just a big joke?
And does anyone want a copy of _Edge of Thorns_? :)
