Hi Folks...

I just picked up the "This is Space" box (4 CD's for US$21) today. I find
that it is sort of a compilation of other compilations (probably a way
Cleopatra figured would help to empty out some overstocked items at once).
The first two CD's are the Space Daze 2CD set that went along with the Dave
Thompson book of the same name. Disc 3 is the Space Daze 2000 compilation
that I've seen around a few places. Disc 4 is a 'bonus CD' of ambient music
not identified on the outside of the packaging. It turns out it is all done
by 'The Brain', a.k.a. Paul Fox and Tommy Grenas.

Here is the complete track listing for those interested.

Overall, it's a pretty decent deal, $21 for more than four hours of music.
But it is a little misleading, as unless you recognise the track order, you
won't realise that this is really nothing more than a couple 'closeout'
items repackaged. Anyway, now you all know...so if you see it, just be
aware of what it is. I didn't bother with these compilations individually
since I didn't feel they offered much beyond what I already had on original
albums; plus they were probably $20 and $12, and I just got the pair for
$21, plus the The Brain disc. So I'm happy.
