They are the pernicious proprietary hand of Microsoft at work.  This
particular annoyance has been pioneered on BOC-L by "Pops" Shipley[*], but
has been taken up by ever-increasing numbers as Microsoft's perverse
notion of "standards" infects a yet wider audience.
SLANDER!!! My lawyers will be in touch... :-)

Have you noticed that my post as of late are a little more BOC-L friendly? I have disabled
the MIME function for ALL of my mail. And did I get a word of thanks? Noooooo.....
