just got home from strange daze.
i gotta keep it brief cause as anyone who met me there can tell you, im
seriously VEGGED.

CONEY ISLAND HIGH
the band played a decent set. but the sound was lousy. the band was
pissed, and didnt do an encor. the set list was the same as the other shows.

i was put in a foul temper by the dung-breathers who played the second set.
largely due to that, and the pounding headache i got from them, and the
lousy sound,
i didnt enjoy the show very much. this was a lot of work put out the people
who put it together, and i feel really bad for them because it was ruined by
others.
but, i will admit, my opinion of this show is probably a lot different from
other people's.

enough of that. it probably wouldn't be so harsh if i could pry my eyes open
a little wider.

STRANGE DAZE, F***ing _WOW_.

the best U.S. show i have seen to date. no question. the entire festival
was like a dream come true, but hawkwind WAS KILLER!
lots of talk about it becomming an annual event, and dave made half a
promise that lemmy would be there next year, provided they can get things
together on a european tour. nik joined the band for a couple of tunes.lots
of talk by the band about a new beginning.
im sorry im too fried to go on right now. more later.

for now, i'd like to thank bill and beverly stewart, who made the entire
weekend possible for karyn and myself. words are not enough.
and a heap of thanks go to the people who arranged the gigs, the one's who
performed, and the one's who brought the extra spirit.

like i said, more later. im crashi-...
