I Bailed from the NYC Show!

I must just not be a hardened enough Hawkfan, but I bailed from Coney
Island High Friday night hours before Hawkwind took the stage.  When it was
11:00 and I was told there were still THREE more opening acts (after seeing
two already) I just couldn't take it any more!  I'd been working all day,
and wasn't going to wait till 2:00AM to see them.  And it was going to be
my first time seeing Hawkwind.  I think Hawkwind ought to be able to play a
decent venue like Irving Plaza, The Bottom Line, or even Tramps, rather
than that scuzzy dive!  I wasted $15 and four hours.

Anyway, if anyone who stayed for the show can tell me about it, I'd like to
know what I missed.  The stage was so small that it was hard to believe
they'd have fit.  I'm just a little bitter and really jealous of people in
England who get to see them in places like the friggin' Earls Court or
something!
