which was probably entirely based on what *I* <ceres at sirius.com> posted on

>have his sh*&%t together enough to get one stinkin' rubber stamp. If
>someone can confirm this, I'd like to hear, but no more negativity from me

which was corrected by Bob Lennon <Hawkwinder at AOL.COM> on Tue, 18 Aug 1998
20:32:54 EDT as follows:

> what i heard from Jim was that Dave had applied for an exemption to come
into
>the country due to prior records on file....that the exemption was mailed out
>and it never arrived in time for Dave to make his flight....he tried to
>straighten this out when he got to Canada ... but to no avail...

... thereby confirming that the problem was NOT that Dave didn't have his
s*(&%t together (unless he applied for the exemption 3 days before his
scheduled departure), but rather that the US consulate or INS
(Immigration/Naturalization Service) or whoever doles out the proper forms
are the ones who screwed up (imagine that!). Which all means that I
probably owe someone out there an apology/retraction (but what do you
expect from someone who can't tell the difference between John Major and
Tony Blair ... or Keith Henderson and Kevin Sommers [sorry Kev!] ...
arrgh!). So ... sorry for having passed on severly mis-interpreted
information, and, if indeed you're watching the list, welcome Dave!
