On Thu, 17 Dec 1998, Mark Edmonds asks:

=> What is this Rush "Different Stages" disc? The only live discs I have are
=> All the Worlds, Exit...Stage Left and A Show of Hands and I didn't think any
=> were recorded at Hammersmith. Is it a new official release I haven't heard
=> about?

Yes, it's a new oficial release (released, at least here in the USA,
~November 1998). It's a double "enhanced" CD live album taken mostly
from the T4E tour, but the real sweetener is the bonus 3rd CD, which is
from a show recorded at the Hammersmith Odeon, London, 20th February,
1978. There's some great stuff on there, including a version of "Cygnus
X-1." The 3CD set is priced as a 2CD release. I just got mine
yesterday, so I've only listened to the Hammersmith disc so far.

Thanks to all for answering my query about Watney's Red Barrel. I had a
vague recollection from my undergraduate days that it was of poor
quality, but have never tasted it myself.

Cheers,

Paul.

PS: At last, for the first time, they've actually indexed the
individual movements of "2112" (which appears at the end of disc 2).
