I'd expect that only Con members would be able to attend, though most SF
cons do sell a one day membership (rather than the usual weekend
membership).

We probably will need to sort out money issues with the Con folks. For
example if we pay for the band to play, would we then be expected to pay
for Con membership for the day? For the weekend? If we couldn't pay the
price for the band would it be reasonable to take a small door fee from
Con members attending?

The first stage is to find out what money the band need.Whether they'd
play without an open door sales policy (as opposed to say day
memberships which allowed folks to visit the Con and see the gig). Then
we ned to discuss this with the Con folks to see what they reckon would
be reasonable.
