I lost the original post, or it's stuck in a queue somewhere....

Altering the past is _one_ messy business, and as such is the
Back To The Future sequel does a pretty good job.

Also, falling back on the Many Worlds theory is merely a cop-out,
with problems of its own, so to type. In that respect, Frederik Pohl 's
(? Might've misspelled the name) "The Coming Of The Quantum Cats" is OK.
