HW: 100 word SF: This Very Spot

i heard a variation of this story YEARS ago. like 20 years ago.
i dont remember the story in great detail, it might have been dr seuss
for all i know. it didnt involve a time machine, but a feat of will
where the guy determined: "i shall remain in this very spot and will not
be moved."  he did, he wasnt, but the earth moved on.

but yes, it would make a good HW tune. ;)
