i agree to a point. but the way i see it, they were headed into a new
era, and the ladder rungs broke under them. now it seems to me that they
are trying to put humpty back together again.  i'm sure they will.

did you ever read one of those mosaic stories where several authors
writes a piece, and its all fantastic and wonderous, until the end when
they try to tie it all together, and the whole is far too outlandish to
work?  try pj farmer's Dungeon series, or the X files..

well, that's the way i see HW right now. Im sure it will all come
together in the end; i certainly havent given up.

as for the two most recent albums, i see it the other way.  i LOVE alien
4, and only care for a couple of tracks on DH. I still listen to A4
frequently. (as for "beam me up" - ive heard it called 'juvenile,' but
to my ears it is no more juvi than much of calvert's and turner's
output. in fact, to me, it sounds very much like a nik turner song
written for uhhh, the sequel to a rocky horror thing. yeah that'sthe
ticket. ;))

i think HW will spring back, but i DO thing they need a bass player.
