Actually, the funny thing is, Godzilla is referred to as a 'he'
throughout the film. Even after it's discovered that he's layed eggs.
Somehow, we're supposed to take it on faith that they just KNOW
Godzilla is male, and he reproduces asexually. They never explain
why, and after numerous shots of the underside of Godzilla, the only
thing I saw that was long, stiff and protruding was a tail. Just one
of the MANY jumps in logic.

Oh, and the obligatory 'leave it open for a sequel' ending is every
bit as contrived as something you might see in a 'Leprechaun' movie.

One thing I forgot to mention:  Zeppelin fans are also warned to stay
away. After watching this intensely bad flick, the screen goes black,
the credits start to roll, and you're treated to that 'controversial'
Puff Daddy remix of Kashmir. It's as if Devlin and Emmerich are
taking one last stab at your freakin' heart!!!!
