Same with me. I first heard Hawkwind when I heard on the radio the opening
tracks to the BBC recordings, the one that begins with Countdown, and
released on Space Rock From London, etc..
When I began reading Moorcock it was (I thought! More on that below) around
the same time, but I didn't discover the link until I bought Warrior On The
Edge Of Time & Space Ritual (both on the same day).

Anyway, what I referred to earlier is that I recently, unbeknown to myself,
have been reading Moorcock since I was about 7 or 8. You see, I was brought
up on British comics such as Smash, Lion, Tiger, etc., and have discovered
that a great deal of those strips were written by none other than Mr.
Moorcock. I even read one again recently and can see his style in the story
very clearly.
