Yes, the style of QT allows him to make the movies he does for
considerably less money than other movies who's plot relies heavily on special
effects. It's always going to be cheaper, and from a purely technical aspect,
easier to make a drama with little or no special effects. Don't get me wrong I
love Tarantino, he's one of the few directors that actually has a completely
original style, but I think you selling Spielberg short. Granted Spielberg has
had a few bombs, like "Batteries Not Included", that movie was an awful piece of
garbage if I ever saw one, but I think most of his work is grand. Tarantino is
probably one of the most creative screenwriters of all time, the only negative
impact he has ever had on me where the times I have seen Tarantino "inspired"
scenes in other movies, for example that "Suicide Kings" movie, it was actually
a pretty cool movie except for those scenes with Dennis Leary talking about his
Manta Ray boots, there was 30 min that could of been cut out of that movie, and
if Tarantino would of never been born 30 min which would of never been in there
to begin with.
