Jackie Leven - these days, he's magnificent, lyrical & poetical

I only saw him with Doll by Doll once, and wasn't tooo impressed at the
time, but I think it was mostly 'coz they didn't seem very appropriate for
whoever they were supporting - & maybe I wasn't really ready for them...

I also saw him as "John St.Field" as a support on Man's "Up For The Day"
tour...
(and now it's their 30th Anniv. tour: Anybody going?)

Among the worst bands I ever saw, and intolerably loud (strange, because I
didn't have a problem with Motorhead in the same club!) - I think "shrill"
is perhaps the right word!  One of the few bands I ever walked out on;
didn't they used to wear some sort of ludicrous outfits involving French
matelot striped shirts?
