Well, although a Star Trek convention is similar to my idea of hell ;-)
I have to say that general-purpose s/f conventions should be rich
mining for a band like Hawkwind.  Hell, I saw a band call Boiled in
Lead play at Arisia in Boston a few years ago, and they made a *lot*
of new fans...
