Message From Hyperspace: Bananamoon Observatory, San Francisco Outpost

A new band formed in San Francisco in the fall of 1998 featuring the
legendary alien grandfather of british techno,
master of psychedelic space punk, and cosmic catalyst of the legendary
Soft Machine and Gong-- Daevid Allen- spinning
wild tales and tribalspace wisdom with glissando and lewd guitar. The
faculty of the University is drawn from a pool of
musicians affiliated with SF space improv band Mushroom: full
professorships were conferred upon drummer Pat Thomas,
angular guitar whiz Josh Pollock, bassist Michael Clare, with associate

professors/multi-instrumentalists Jay Radford and Erik Pearson. The
spring curriculum includes the release of a debut album "Money Doesn't
Make It" recorded on a magickal weekend in
September 1998, , the debut performances of the band in San Francisco
and Los Angeles in mid March, and recording of a
followup album.
