BOC: San Francisco 2/24

The Agents of Fortune were on fire last night! Everyone was smiling (even
Eric) and playing their hearts out. They couldn't have asked for a more
receptive crowd either. Allen was missed (though it was nice that Eric
mentioned him), but Al did a superlative pinch hitting job. Actually, after
his and Buck's tasty solo in Harvest Moon, I started wishing he could remain
with the boys even after Allen returns - his guitar work was a _very_ nice
addition to the BOC sound - how many guitars is too much? :) Even though
they didn't play any of the songs that were rumored about before this tour
started (Harvester, Black Blade, Veterans, etc.) everything they did do was
truly perfect. Buck broke a string on his accoustic during In Thee but
being the rock god that he is, didn't miss a beat and got the crowd to clap
along instead while Eric zipped over and held the broken string out of his
way. Danny looked like he was having a ball - he was bouncing all over the
stage thumping away on his Fender Jazz. The strobes on Flaming Telepaths
were great, I don't know if they came with the club or the band.

We watched the Live '76 tape earlier in the day, and while there is
something truly special about the original BOC era, I can't think of
anything better than standing 3 feet away from Eric and Buck as they rock
the house.

Here's the setlist, I apologize if the order is off a little in the middle,
Buck melted my brain during The Last Days of May. :)

Burning For You
Cities on Flame
Harvest Moon
This Ain't The Summer of Love
Buck's Boogie
ETI
Flaming Telepaths
Last Days of May
See You in Black
In Thee
ME262
Take Me Away

(encore)
