Hi Folks...

Well, I've been a little hesitant to post anything about this (I don't want
to be labelled a rumour-mongerer), but I'll concede these few bits that seem
to be 'public' info.

Strange Daze '99 planning is underway, with the following artists written
onto the lineup card, with plenty more to follow.

Farflung w/ Nik Turner
Tribe of Cro
Anubian Lights
Alien Planetscapes
Born to Go
Canis Minor (performed impromptu last year...offshoot of Finally Balanced)
Quarkspace

The others that are being considered include some very interesting names!!!
Which I won't reveal right now, sorry.

As far as Hawkwind goes, I think they may be passing in favor of a major US
tour a bit later in the fall. Perhaps with very interesting special guests
that have been mentioned in recent months by Baron Brock.

As far as a SD'99 venue goes, I think that has yet to be determined, though
it will likely be in Ohio at least....perhaps even in my own backyard here
in Columbus. The midnight curfew and per-head campground rental fees for
Nelson Ledges has made Jim consider elsewhere, so Columbus *could* be the
site this year. (Anybody need a ride from the airport??) :)

The 2CD compilation of Strange Daze '97 material is shortly to be
released...you can see the announcement and cover art (same as the T-shirts)
at Jim L.'s site (I think), as well as Sonique's.

There are more possibilities that are in development for future Strange Daze
events, but I don't think anything's firm just yet.

Oh yeah, and if you didn't already know, Porcupine Tree is touring the US
finally (some dates with Magma!!!), so there are lots of great events on the
table for 1999!!

In Search of Space...Keith H. (FAA)
