HAWKWIND
"EPOCH - ECLIPSE" 30TH ANNIVERSARY ULTIMATE BEST OF AND 30TH ANNIVERSARY
TRIPLE CD OUT AUGUST 30TH ON EMI

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of one of rock's most innovative acts,
EMi are releasing a single CD ultimate Best Of and a deluxe 3 CD set
charting the band's 30 year career respectively titled "Epoch-Eclipse The
Ultimate Best Of" and "Epoch Eclipse 30 Year Anthology" 3 CD on August
30th.

For the first time this collection, released at the end of the month during
which the first total eclipse of the moon has take place for over 30 years,
will include all of the key original recordings taken from the UA,
Charisma, Bronze, RCA, GWR, Castle, Flicknife and EBS years. Rounding off
each collection is an exclusive brand new 1999 version of "Silver Machine",
"Infected By The Scourge Of The Earth", also known as KLF'er Jimmy Cauty;
the radio edit appears on the "Ultimate Best Of", while the "full version"
appears on the triple CD set.

All of us who grew up tripping out to the likes of "Silver Machine",
"Orgone Accumulator", "Master Of The Universe", "Seven By Seven",
"Brainstorm" etc, will welcome the digitally remastered and beautifully
packaged 30 Year Anthology" triple CD with wide open arms.

The single "Ultimate Best Of" CD is designed as a comprehensive
introduction to those who have only heard of Hawkwind from the likes of
current e-generation bands such as Chemical Brothers, Orbital or Prodigy
who have all paid huge tribute to this ground breaking combine.

At the opposite end of the 1999 musical spectrum, "stoner rock" acts such
as Monster Magnet and Queens Of The Stone Age make no secret of the
influence Hawkwind has played on them, while Motörhead mainman Lemmy is, of
course, famously an ex-Hawkwind band member and the "Ultimate Best Of" will
introduce inquisitive young rock fans to the band.

For collectors, the single CD will contain at least 60% of the tracks in
different versions / mixes to those on the 3 CD set. For those wanting the
definitive introduction to one of the most influential and original acid /
trance rock bands on the planet, "Epoch Eclipse The Ultimate Best Of" is
exactly that.
