blondie was MARKETED like crazy, but musically they pretty much did what they
wanted, such as it might have been...
well, maybe they were more of a corporate entity after "parallel lines"...
but they were hardly any sort of rock & roll/punk/new wave standard bearers;
at first they were a joke fronted by a pretty girl and they didnt mind BEING a
joke...

however, clem burke is a kickass drummer in his own right
