Maybe it wasn't quite as recent as I remember, but I know it
happened, cuz I didn't know what Trepanation meant until I read about
it here!

looked up what 'trepanation' was....

that was how they treated what we now call mentally ill people way, way back.
drilling a hole in the head
so that the demons could fly out.

well, my demons pay the rent on time
and as long as they dont play their stereo too late at night
they can stay.
