Hi there...

I hope you're all making your travel plans to come see the 'indoor' version
(in a way) of the Strange Daze festy's. Memorial Day weekend, May 27-28.
Right here in bucolic Ohio.

Quarkstock will be a nice intimate event (no bigger club would take the
chance!), with a max. of 175 space rockers cozying up to each other. I hope
some of you will try to make the trip here to Columbus. Perhaps you think
it would be redundant to come to both. I hope not. Dark Aether Project and
French TV are the type of band that prolly wouldn't play at SD's, and
they're fine bands, just as is the normal fare we're all familiar with.

Plus, we will have Thom here and Jim's lightshow of course, so you won't be
missing that. And some better vending I think. New Sonic Architecture
appears to be coming, and Matthew and Greg are the coolest sort of the
bigger prog-psych-space dealers. Aether-Or from Indianapolis (Tombstone
Valentine-related) are not yet confirmed, but they may bring their stuff as
well. And of course, Jerry and I will be offering some things along with
the performing bands' wares. I'll have my box of second-hand/closeout stuff
for some cheap shopping. I think I've got over 100 or so discs saved
up...those of you at previous SD's know what I scrounge up.

So, if you're still waffling, I hope you try hard to make it work for you,
such that this will continue to happen. Last year's Orion festival caved
in, and that gets some people (like myself) down a bit. I would hope this
would become an annual event, but it depends upon support. Paul and Jerry
et al., have worked hard to get the local/regional media interested, but I'm
afraid it's hard to get much response. Most folks that have purchased tix
to date are out-of-towners.
