In all this talk of Simon House, I have not seen anyone mention his band
High Tide. I recently found the 1970 S/T release on disc and have not
decided if I am going to part w/ my near mint vinyl copy at SD 2000 or
not....

Quite a good record, even if it is only 3 songs (not short by any means.)

Stalk Forrest Group - St. Cecilia: quite interesting recording. BOC in it's
infancy. I have the Italian version, which is supposed to be the better
sounding......

Also, every BOC fan needs a copy of the June 7,1996 issue of Goldmine w/ BOC
on the cover. The title of the extensive article chronicling the early
history of BOC is a fitting "Then Came the Last Days of May". I got mine
for free.... I was showing my girlfriend my old stomping grounds on High
Street in Columbus, Ohio and as we were leaving 'School Kids' records she
stole a copy! Well, she did not know she was stealing. She thought it was
another one of those free music magazines that she had seen me picking up.
What a laugh when she found out!

You may be able to order a back issue.... I highly recommend it!

If you have not checked out the news page at www.strange-trips.com
There's no time like the present. This years Strange Daze 2000 is gearing up
to be quite a time. Great location! Great music! And the best bunch of
freaks, all in one place ")
