HW:Excess Studio recordings

For the first half of 'Pleasure Island' you've got to be on the same humour
wavelength as the band or you won't get it and the lengthy last track is
simply amazing, but the follow-up album got it spot on and as a complete
entity is just superb - Twink disappeared to the States with them all a
while back and just about every Fairies album that came out independently
through Twink is currently deleted, to us in retail anyway.
Only the Voiceprint stuff and I think the Chiswick material is around,
although Captain Trips in Japan recently still had copies of the above two
Fairies albums plus the Hawkfairies album and the Pinkwind album, both of
which we regularly stock at CD Services for the Hawkwind connections,
despite the fact that they are pretty average albums. Check us out in a week
or two when we should have all these back again.
Paul Rudolph is still alive and well and living in Canada so if someone can
track him down then an interview is well overdue methinks - any of our
magazine ferrets willing to get on the case???
Twink is on the West Coast of USA last time I heard but where I really don't
know.
Andy Garibaldi.
